  I have always liked Home Hardware, as it's a Canadian brand. I try very hard to purchase my home improvement needs here. The Perth store is very nice, and most staff are good - gentleman at lumber desk (Neil?), nice older man in lighting...but I have had a few incidences with rude employees. Wandered the paint department for 15 minutes while staff were merchandising / doing inventory - they saw me, but neither of the ladies asked if I needed help finding something. They carried on with their tasks. When they finally asked if I need help, I just said no, and left. I think they try to be helpful, and kind - but somehow it just doesn't work. I still like the store, and I will shop there as much as I can. But my first choice is usually Home Depot - their customer service is top notch.

  Got to know several of the staff well during our renovation project and they always greeted us with a smile and hello. Any questions we had were answered and if not, they personally called us back to follow up.
